The material is applied to a profile such as trim or molding through the use of pressure and multiple nip points. This process enables manufacturers to create decorative wood components that mimic natural materials at a fraction of the cost. Engineered decorated profiles also enable better color and design consistency. This current popular type of process is PUR lamination; Mainly used for wall panels, door panels,molding,wooden door frame, etc.

Flat Lamination is an automated process of taking a decorative laminate in roll or sheet form and utilizing an adhesive to bond the laminate to sheets of MDF (medium density fiberboard), particle board or other board types. This efficient and cost-effective process quickly applies a decorative surface to the board for installation and use in sheet form or for further processing such as v-grooving for miter folding. By utilizing the plasticity of PVC, adjusting and controlling the membrane pressing time, temperature and pressure inside the equipment chamber, PVC film is heated and pressurized to coat the surface of the workpiece. The process enables components to be made with contoured surface profiles and seamless edges, eliminating the need for edge banding and special edge treatments.
